Afghanistan, Britain To Continue Mutual Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Relations between Afghanistan and Britain continue, as CE, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, in his meeting with the British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson thanked him of his country’s support, devotions and commitments towards Afghanistan in the recent years, BNA reported.
Supports from the international community and the Britain has laid significant impact on the country’s situation in the recent years and Afghanistan now enjoys better condition comparing in the past, said the CE, as quoted by the agency. He lauded the British commitments to Afghanistan at the Warsaw summit and hoped for consolidation of the cooperation between the two countries, the agency added. British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson expressed delight over the achievements and development made in Afghanistan and assured of his country’s sustainable cooperation in war on terror, peace restoration and investment in the war-torn nation, according to the agency. Calling Britain as a key and strategic partner of his country, the CE offered a full picture of the latest political and security situations of Afghanistan, praising the country’s security and defense forces to crack down on Taliban and other terrorist network and foil their plots, said the government of national unity was successfully moving forward, the agency quoted a statement from the CE Press Office. The CE called Taliban, Daesh and other terrorist networks, which are being supported by Pakistan and other terrorist organizations, a major threat to Afghanistan, region and world and called the international community for help to fight the common threat, the agency continued. Johnson assured of his country’s cooperation with Afghanistan in war on terrorism and peace and stability restoration, in the country, as stability of Afghanistan he believed was the key to have a secure region and world and reported about his country’s support towards drawing strong support of Pakistan on peace process. Some other issues, like regional relations of Afghanistan with Pakistan, central Asia, investment in the fields of energy, mining, military cooperation and peace process with the Taliban and other armed groups, have also been discussed between the two sides.
