NATO Selects Mark Rutte of the Netherlands as Next Secretary General

 

KABUL(BNA): North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO), the military alliance formed by the United States, Britain, the European Union, and several other nations, has announced the appointment of it’s new Secretary General to succeed Jens Stoltenberg.

The new Secretary General of this organization is Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, who may start his work after October 1st.

NATO has 32 member countries, including 30 European countries and two other North American countries, the United States of America and Canada.

In 2021, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan achieved victory over NATO, a military alliance engaged in various global conflicts since its establishment including wars in Iraq and Afghanistan largely centered on occupation efforts.
