President Welcomes Dispatching Process of Afghan Pilgrims

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has welcomed the start of dispatching process of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
Based on instruction of President Ghani, commission for dispatching Afghan pilgrims and officials of Ministry for Hajj have been tasked to adopt measures to dispatch all Afghan pilgrims safely and tranquil morale so that they could perform hajj with complete tranquility. The country’s President hoped that the process would successfully end. According to report, further facilitations as unprecedented decrease in air tickets’ price, providing better possibilities comparing to previous years and organizing of hajj affairs have been provided this year in Saudi Arabia. The first group of Afghan pilgrims left Hamid Karzai International Airport for Saudi Arabia on Thursday. It is determined that 24,250 Afghan pilgrims from Kabul, Herat, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif zones will leave for Saudi Arabia in a transparent process this year to perform hajj.
