Kabul (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture met Yoo Jinryong, minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports of Korea in Seoul, capital of South Korea while Afghan ambassador Mohammad Yunos Ferman, was also present.
At the meeting Dr. Raheen touching on the background of Afghan-Korea ties said that almost 40 years ago, since the formation of political relations between the two nations, while the start of ties between the two nations dates back to 2000 years when the Buddhist faith from Bamyan spread to China and from there to Korea.
He added that though the view point of distance, we are away from each other but we have common bonds.
He praised the efforts of the Korean nation that overcome the destructions of the war and turned itself as the 11th economic power in the world.
He added that the national and government of Korea stood on the side of our nation and government for the past 11 years.
The Korean minister said at the meeting that he is hopeful the Afghan nation overcome the war and succeed in reconstruction of the country and upgrading their life and he emphasized on further consolidation of ties of cooperation between the two nations.
