NPC Approves 7 Contracts Worth 2.347 Billion Afghanis

Kabul (BNA) The National Procurement Commission (NPC) with Presidential Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair held session here on Sunday and approved 7 contracts worth 2.347 billion Afghani, a presidential statement said.
According to the statement the approved contracts included, transportation of 30250 Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, consultation services project for conducting vocational and technical trainings in Kabul, Laghman and Helmand provinces, internet services of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology, connecting of the country’s 15 universities to Fiber Optic, linking to South Asia Research and Educational Network-TIEN4 project, extending the duration of the construction of 11 KM Peyar Du Abi to Mandul of Nooristan and provision of fuel to airplanes carrying out domestic flights. The commission conditionally approved the contract related to internet services of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Informational Technology till executing of the new project. The session was attended by NPA authorities, transparency observers from SIGAR, Financial and Budgetary Commissions of the Senate, Parliamentary Anti-Corruption Caucus and CSTC-A of the Resolute Support Mission.
