Qanooni Meets Leading Board of Agriculture Ministry

Kabul (BNA) First Vice-President, Mohammad Younus Qanooni met with the leading board of the ministry for agriculture and irrigation headed by Mohammad Asif Rahimi and exchanged views on matters relating to agricultural development in the country, the other day. According to BNA in the meeting, the first vice president besides expressing satisfaction over achievements of the ministry for agriculture said Afghanistan is an agricultural country and the role of agriculture cannot be denied in the economic development.
“I am sure that the country would witness positive change in the field of agriculture due to having outstanding leadership,” Qanooni said in the meeting.
Besides introducing the members of the board, minister Rahimi in his remarks said that the ministry for agriculture and irrigation has organized more than 40,000 fruit gardens across the country is going towards self-sufficiency in the field of agriculture products.
According to another report, the first vice president Qanooni also received a delegation of senators led by deputy senate Mohammad Alam Ezidyar.
In the meeting also attended by some youths, the vice president pointed out that the Afghans by vast participation in elections had thwarted the conspiracies of the enemies which speak of the maturity of the people of Afghanistan. In his remarks at the meeting, Ezidyar besides expressing happiness over the high turnout of the people on April 5 elections hoped that the election results to match the desire of the people.
