U.S. Should Not Pullout Forces From Afghanistan, Khalilzad

Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Kabul (BNA) US former ambassador to Kabul Zalmai Khalilzad has asked President Barack Obama not to pull out US military forces from Afghanistan.
He has said that Obama was to keep his positive foreign policy towards Afghanistan. US President has recently declared that the country would reduce its military forces by 5500 beyond 2016 in Afghanistan. Khalilzad says President Obama has decided to keep less than 6000 troops in Afghanistan, which is a right decision. In his interview, Khalilzad was optimistic over future of Afghanistan, saying that 10,000 forces could keep terrorists away from Afghanistan. US former ambassador to Afghanistan believes that Russian President had made use of weakness of his US counterpart in world fields in his own benefit. He has said that Putin was exaggerating in his military power to keep the countries economic and cultural weakness aside and showing US risk more acute.
