No Citizen Live Is in Danger in Afghanistan: MoF

KABUL (BNA) Foreign Ministry of Islamic Emirate in connection with the protest of a mob of Afghan refugees in front of the UNHCR office in Pakistan on Wednesday said that the lives of no citizens were in danger in Afghanistan.

In a statement the Ministry of state: “Afghanistan, while considering the security of every citizen as its religious and national duty, reiterates that Afghanistan is a common home, regardless of any ethnic, regional or religious affiliation. “They are all Afghans and there is no threat to them.”

“A number of asylum seekers protesting in front of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Islamabad are economic asylum seekers who have lived in Pakistan for many years,” the statement added.

Since in the mid of August 2021, a majority of Afghans fled the country to neighboring countries for seeking asylums, and many awaiting by the international immigration office including in Pakistan.

In recent days, a number of Afghan refugees have protested against the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Islamabad, Pakistan, protesting their immigration cases.

The protesters called on the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to expedite the registration process, the issuing of immigration cards, and the process of admission to asylum-seeking countries.
