
KABUL (BNA) The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with several Shia elders, influential figures, and scholars, his office said in a statement Wednesday.
In the meeting, Deputy PM Hanafi said that there is no ethnic and zonal discrimination in the Islamic system and unity and sympathy between the followers of the religions and sects of the Afghan nation is unique in our homeland and the enemies of the Afghan nation are striving to create gaps among the Afghan nation through fueling insecurity, but the officials of the Islamic Emirate with the help of Allah Almighty and the cooperation of the nation will not allow anyone to do such things in the future, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Akbari spoke on behalf of others and said that the elders, influential figures, and scholars of Shia we a gd partners with the previous government, and now, they are ready with complete determination and honesty to cooperate with the IEA on any ground, the statement added.
“The Shiite people have been treated well and provided with trade facilities and complete security in the country,” the statement quoted Akbari as saying, adding that he has shared the IEA’s achievements and good interaction with Afghans, in a conference which had been held outside the country.
In the end, Deputy PM Hanafi said that Afghanistan is a joint home for every Afghan and the IEA is making efforts to identify and address all challenges facing Afghans, as well as asked Shia scholars and elders to cooperate with Islamic Emirate officials to provide better security and play their positive role in the development of the country.
