North Neighbours Delivered Tons of Aid to Afghan Quake-Victims

KABUL (BNA): On Saturday, neighboring countries Uzbekistan delivered 40 tons of aid and Turkmenistan 20, handed over to the Afghan Ministry of disaster management, later to be distributed among Khost, Paktia, and Paktika south victims, officials said.

According to Uzbek special representative for Afghanistan Esmatullah Ergashev, the series of aid delivered to Afghanistan includes flours, cooking oils, clothes, and medicines, adding organized following Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s instructions, said during the delivery of aid that another batch will be delivered shortly, the disaster management ministry said in a statement.

In the meantime, Turkmenistan delivered 20 tons of aid on Saturday the aid including food and non-food items, through Kabul international airport.

The Turkmen ambassador offering his attribute to the victims of families said the series of aid will continue in the future.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nasim Haqqani, director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of State  Disaster Management thanked the neighboring countries for delivering aid to the people of Afghanistan and vowed to distribute aid among quake victims shortly.
