CM Condemns Terror Attacks In Paktika

Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers (CM) with Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair presided over the weekly meeting of the body here yesterday and condemned the coward terrorist in Yahyakhil district of Paktika province which had left scores of people dead and injured.
In the meeting, besides expressing sympathy with the families of the victims and praying for early recovery of injured ones also assigned a commission to investigate the case.
The chief executive in the meeting described approval of Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) by the House of People as a step towards national interests, saying the endorsement of the agreement would help Afghanistan’s president and chief executive officer in the coming NATO summit in Brussels to win international community’s support in equipping Afghan national security forces.
Presenting his report, acting minister for interior Omar Daudzai said that terrorist attack targeted volleyball match in Paktika province on Sunday had martyred 50 people and injured more than 70 others, out of these, 53 had been taken to hospital in Kabul for medical treatment.
However, he noted that the security situation in other parts of the country especially in Kunduz and Helmand had been improved. 
Acting minister for defense in his report said that the cleanup operations have been continuing in Kunduz province and the situation has been improved.
Presenting his report, acting minister for finance said that the necessary preparations for the participation at London Conference taken place, saying some 60 countries and 15 international agencies would attend the conference on Afghanistan which demonstrates the world community’s attention towards this country.
