Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani presided over the meeting of supreme commander of the armed forces meeting here the other day, a presidential statement said.
The meeting which was also attended by the officials of the security organs, the overall security situation of the country was discussed and the counter-insurgency operations were termed successful in different parts of the country. The meeting said the enemies received heavily casualties.
The meeting was also briefed on the success of removal of barriers in Kabul roads by the Kabul municipality and the other coordinated agencies. The participants emphasized on better coordination and cooperation in providing security to the residents of Kabul, the statement added.
The president and the meeting’s participants praised bravery of the security forces in providing security during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations across the country.
