Central Provinces’ Elders Support Presidential Recent Decree On Power Distribution

Kabul (BNA) In a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the elders from the country’s central provinces voiced their support from the president’s fresh decree over fair power distribution, a statement from his office said the other day.
Representing others, Ali Reza Sharif and Amin Yakawlangi spoke at the meeting attended by some cabinet members and house representatives and warned no one could draw red line to the government as it had visited the people and heard their problems, according to the statement. At the meeting also taken part by CE, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, he said the government had made effort to extend power to the central provinces and the project for distribution of the power would be kicked off soon. Congratulating the birthday of the Peace Martyr, Abdul Ali Mazari in the meeting, President Ghani said the government has to practice the result of the investigating commission as the member spend 10 to 19 hours a day to probe into the 500volt power route. The project would be executed as soon as possible, the president added continuing other infrastructural programs would also be kicked off to build Doshi-Bamyan-Dara-e-Suf road and work were underway on the communication restoration as well. “The commitment had been taken from paper to action,” the statement quoted the president as saying and addressing the youth said, “I can hear all your criticisms with patience, but your judgment should be tantamount to the reality.” The president, based on the 500 kilovolt power investigating national commission suggestion issued a decree to extend 220 kilovolt “double circuit” power with the capacity of 300 megawatt through the Dushi to the central provinces, where it could secure all the electricity based requirements.” The project with due deadline had been decreed by the president to be extended to the center of Bamyan province where some 20,000 households could enjoy the related organs tasked to provide a draft for extending power to other central provinces and submit to the cabinet meeting in six months, the state ran Bakhtar News Agency quoted the presidential press office as saying and tasking the ministry of finance to allocate the needed budget and sent to the house of people for approval. The president also assured them of setting a national commission to investigate all administration units’ structure of the central provinces.
