Afghanistan Takes Successful Steps Toward Maintaining Child Rights, VP

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh in a meeting of introducing the law on protection of child rights held the other day spoke and considered the law as a founding key for a sound and safe society.
“In the past one and half decades, Afghanistan government has taken big and successful steps towards providing proper legal pavement for protection of child rights in the country,” Danesh said.
He considered the law as the most comprehensive, saying that all terms and key words in the respective law have been clearly defined.
Second vice president added that it was the most comprehensive law that has been codified in 16 chapters and 108 articles that were fully in accordance to international conventions as well as verdicts and teachings of Islam.
Exploiting of child, molesting the child and others are some cases that have been clearly defined and forbidden in the law.
According to another report, second vice president met with Karn Kecker, US deputy chief of mission to Kabul the other day.
In the meeting, both sides discussed successfully holding Peace Consultative Jirga and peace talks with the Taliban group.
