President Karzai Expresses Heartfelt Condolences Over The Killing Of Four French Soldiers In Kapisa Province

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai is deeply saddened and grieved by an incident in which four French soldiers were killed and sixteen others were injured in the province of Kapisa.
Reports indicate that an Afghan National Army solider opened fire at NATO troops based in Tagab district of Kapisa province killing four French soldiers and injuring sixteen others.
Whiled grieved by the tragic incident, President Karzai expresses his deepest sympathies and condolences to French President, families of the victims and the people of France.
Pointing to the historical relations the two countries have been enjoying, President Karzai said, “France has been generous to provide extensive assistance to Afghanistan over the past ten years. Throughout history, the two countries have enjoyed a sincere relationship, which Afghan people would always cherish.”
