HERAT (BNA) About 800 orphans received aid packages in Herat today, Monday.
These relief packages include 20 beds, 12 cartons of clothes, 30 volumes of the Holy Quran, winter clothes, cooking oil, and flour, which were distributed by the Turkish Consulate to the Great Orphanage of Herat.
Qari Asadullah Mutawakkul, the head of Herat Grand Orphanage, told BNA that the total value of these donations is about five thousand dollars, which was distributed to about 800 orphans.
He called for the help and cooperation of other relief organizations with orphans before the winter season.
Ayesha and Benyameen are two students of science who are busy learning science in Herat Grand Orphanage, they say that today they are very happy that they have been helped.
Formerly, assistance was contributed to the said orphanage from the Consulate General of Turkey.
