Kabul (BNA) Last week, the national unity government (NUG) had taken effective and helpful steps in different fields to bring reforms and what should it do for the future.
Successfully holding the Council of Ministers meeting chaired by the country’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, could be called the government of national unity under the wise leadership of the country’s president, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai. The president remarks during the teacher day and his commitment to provide all 217,000 school teachers across the country, with shelter and residential units in six months, could be called another step the president had taken to honor his promises made during his electoral campaigns.
Equality among the teachers being employed through the civil services process is one of the national unity government’s decisions to bring and strengthen justice among them. The fresh approach of the new government of national unity is that not forgive those proved to be the killer of the security forces as he during one of his speeches with the army commanders, police and NDS senior officials emphasized that his led national unity government would never forgive the murderers of the army, police and NDS personnel. The killed army and police troops should be described as shaheed (martyrs), something could be called a regard paid by the new leadership to those victimize their life for their country and the people.
During the last week, the president also criticized the security forces’ rank promotion process and said the ranks, particularly the general ones should be respected and those with the plan to promote his rank should have academically completed the military training process. The promise could good news for those youths of the country under the military trainings centers (Harbi Showanzai) Military School and (Harbi Puhantoon) Military University in the country, as they are now confident, they would receive their ranks based on justice.
Appointing new acting spokesman for the presidential office could also be optimistically called a move to abridge distance between the government and the people through a good spokesman. Reintegration of the government media center with the presidential press office is something raise the people hopes for a bright future and meet their expectations for what they had not witnessed in the past. Failure of the Kabul municipality to do what was its responsibility for the country’s road asphalting and reconstruction projects had also angered the president as saying the Kabul city could not be seen as a proper place for living. He said he was not satisfied with the ongoing conditions of the Kabul city situations as are the citizens.
But, what the president would do for the country’s security and the Pakistani consecutive shelling on the country’s south and eastern provinces? He is taking consultation with the countries enjoying good relations with Pakistan in order find the main motive behind missile attacks on the country’s border provinces, but these changes could be witnessed immediately and during a short term. The people should remain hopeful for their future not worry about the promises if seeing are not quickly implemented, as anything under the national unity government would be done duly, as it would take enough times to repair all the last 13 years’ of the country’s destructions.
As a committed and honest personality, Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai would do what he had promised during his electoral campaigns. He has been commuting overnight to investigate different government organs to closely see who were doing their responsibility, as in 2 O’ Clock midnight, he visited some police districts headquarters and to personally get information, if they were performing their jobs properly. He promised to take in mind the process of award and punishment for all government organs, particularly the security institutions of the country.
