President Ghani Chairs Armed Forces High Chief Command Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the meeting of armed forces chief command was held at the Presidential Palace yesterday.
In the meeting, President Ghani first instructed relevant officials to address families of those martyred and wounded in a terrorist incident the other day in Kabul’s 16th PD, stressing that modality of occurring the incident should be seriously investigated and delivered its report to the Presidential office as soon as possible. Afterwards, the country’s defense and security officials delivered the meeting their report in connection with overall security situation of the country, in particular plans and measures adopted for responding threats posed by the enemies in Balkh, Baghlan, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Urozgan, Farah, Ghor and Herat provinces. Meanwhile, report related to maintaining security along Maidan/Wardak-Zabul and Kabul-Balkh highways, security threats and adopted measures on the respective highways was delivered to the meeting and necessary instructions were given for improvement of security of the respective roads.
