Hoping Current Election Impasse To End Through Negotiations, Qanooni

Kabul (BNA) First Vice President in a meeting with US Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan discussed over election process in the country.
Presidential press office said BNA, in the meeting; the First Vice President Mohammad Younus Qanooni said he hopes that current stalemate in Afghanistan presidential run-off election would end through talks between both sides in cooperation with international colleagues in particular US.
He added the process’s success depended on transparent work of Afghanistan electoral commissions as transparency in election process would lead in a government legalized by the people by casting votes in the election, pledging efforts and cooperation in this regard.
In the meeting, US Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan James Dobbins expressed hopes that the people of Afghanistan would reach to stability and prosperity through a transparent election.
