Over 2800kgs of Drugs Recovered in Uruzgan

 

URUZGAN (BNA) Over 2800 kilograms of drugs have been recovered in Urozgan, the provincial police spokesman said Sunday.

“2,850 kilograms of hashish in a police inspection of the provincial counter-narcotics personals have been recovered and seized in the Khas Uruzgan district of the province, Spokesperson Mawlavi Sadullah Zahid said.

Inspection operations are underway to recover and destroy poppy farmlands and drug processing labs in the province, he said.

Lately, over 1800 kilograms of oman [Amphetamine] which is used in the production of drugs had been discovered and seized in the Gezab district of Urogan province.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) will build up efforts to zero cultivation of poppy countrywide and those involved in the production and trafficking of drugs will be dealt accordance with the law.
