Heart of Asia Conference Ought To Divulge Terror Supporters

Monday December 5, 2016

Kabul (BNA) Although this is the sixth Heart of Asia conference that is held in different countries but this time India hosts it.
Beside war on terror and regional cooperation, in this conference discussion will take place on global support. As it is evident, regional cooperation appears in global relations when it has common interests with the world community, and be involved in war on elimination of common enemy. But if these interests are different for every participating country, then instead of regional cooperation, every individual country tries to achieve its own interests. At the moment, Pakistan doesn’t recognize armed opponents of India and Afghanistan legitimate governments as terrorists. Pakistan doesn’t consider Haqqani network and Lashkar-e-Tayeba as terrorists who are involved in frank terrorist, subversive activities in Afghanistan and India. Similarly the US doesn’t address opponents of Asad in Syria as terrorists. The Russia wants Asad regime to continue. In such circumstances, how it is possible that in war on terror, regional and global cooperation be created. This is the 6th Heart of Asia conference that is held in the region on elimination of extremism and terrorism in the regime.
Having a glance at the past 5 conferences, we cannot say that this time, the decisions of this conference will be practical and put an end to training and support of terrorism in the region. Because still Saudi Arabia and Iran, US and Russia as well as India and Pakistan don’t consider militants who are fighting against their rivals, as their enemies. And in continuation of proxy war, everyone would be exploiting even a small opportunity against the interest of the other one. Then how the regional and global countries would exert pressure on their own militants for restoration of peace and stability in Afghanistan or wage a sincere war for their extermination as members of regional or global coordination. Regional and global cooperation can be set only that time that there are common interests and all countries fight a common enemy. At the moment there is no single definition of terrorism at the world level and except a number of countries, other countries don’t consider terrorists and extremism as enemies of humanity and seek their own interests in existence of terrorists. In this situation how common interests could be existed and a real and therefore sincere regional and global war on terror is impossible. Despite of that, the Afghans consider this conference, different from the past five conferences and say that now Pakistan has to make oily pledges aimed at salvation from isolation. It is upon participating countries particularly India to focus on Pakistan to take sincere steps aimed at regional cooperation in war on terror.
If we concentrate on India interests and enemies, its interests are largely close to Afghanistan and both have common enemies. We expect India to use its active diplomatic efforts to divulge the world terror supporters and make serious assistance with Afghanistan. In this conference, India and Afghanistan would try to draw the world attention that Pakistan is making vast efforts in the region for training and sheltering of terrorists and convince China that terrorism is supported in the region by Pakistan and China assistance with Pakistan, is assistance with terrorism. The participating countries of HAC and the world countries should adopt a common strategy in war on terror and eliminate the terrorists hideouts, sanctuaries and training centers and don’t allow terrorists supporters to ignite the flame of war in the region and the world. Now that Pakistan is approaching to isolation, the powerful regional powers, particularly China and India should make efforts to establish regional cooperation through diplomatic channels to put a end to ongoing regional disputes and blood shedding in Afghanistan and don’t let Afghanistan to be the innocent victim of terrorism.
