Over 37,000 Refugees Returned Home In a Month

NIMROZ (BNA) Local officials of Nimroz say that in the past month over 37,000 Afghan refugees returned to the country from Iran.

The provincial head of Refugees and Repatriation of Nimoz, Mawlavi Sediqullah Nusrat, says that 37,343 refugees entered the country from Iran through the Silk Road in the past month.

Some of these refugees have returned to the country under compulsion and others voluntarily, he added.

According to him, the most oppressed and vulnerable people have been introduced to the International Office of Migration (IOM) to identify and receive assistance, and 8,220 of them have received food and cash, and food and non-food items have been distributed to each family.
