Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in meeting with a number of businessmen and national traders here in Arg yesterday said that the national traders have always stood alongside people in the need of hour.
Attended by Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal, the presidential advisor on economic affairs and Khan Jan Alokozai the deputy to chamber of commerce and industries, the president, besides welcoming the traders and private sector lauded their assistances to the war-affected people of Kunduz at this critical stage. With regard to renovation of the airport, the president added that the government would do its best to improve investment situation in the country. On Salma Dam, in Herat the president said that the dam reserves some 60 million cubic meter of water which facilitate farmers to better irrigate their lands. Herat and Balkh provinces would be connected to railway in future which is significant in improving trade and economic activities, the president added. President Ghani also noted that economic conference will be held next week to avail people get knowledge about trade situation in the country.
