
KABUL (BNA) The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Embassy in Islamabad, announced release of 500 Afghans undocumented Afghan refugees by Pakistan.
Out of about 2,000 Afghan refugees who are imprisoned in Pakistani prisons, 500 of them were released, said the Embassy in a press release.
The Afghan embassy is in contact with the authorities of that country for the release of Afghans imprisoned in Pakistani prisons, said the Embassy in its announcement.
The Afghan Embassy in Islamabad and the Afghan Consulates in Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta always continue their efforts to address the problems of Afghan immigrants living in Pakistan and newly arrived travelers, reaffirmed the officials of the Embassy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan pledged that the problems related to the detention of Afghan immigrants and travelers will be resolved within the next 3 weeks, and women, children, men and patients will be released soon, and the files of others will be followed up seriously, the press release added.
