Panjshir Cherry Exports Set to Expand to China, Pakistan, and India

 

KABUL(BNA): Panjshir cherries are now making their way to international markets, with exports to China, Pakistan, and India underway.

The yield of Panjshir cherries has witnessed a notable increase this year compared to the previous season, highlighting a promising harvest for local growers and boosting export potential.

Qari Fazlullah Deoband, the head of agriculture in Panjshir, told BNA that this year, 630 kilograms of cherries have been harvested from each orchard, and the harvesting season is still ongoing.

After packaging, traders sell Panjshir cherries in Kabul and export them to countries such as China, Pakistan, and India.
