Kabul (BNA) The Council of Ministers with Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on the chair held session here yesterday.
Hinting to US MOAB attack on Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, Dr. Abdullah said dozens of Daesh affiliates have been killed in the attack, accusing them of barbarism and killing innocent local people.
Chief Executive said the local people who suffered Daesh’s destructive and terrorism activities, have welcomed the attack, adding the national unity government was decisive to suppress such terrorists in the country.
Pointing to recent criticism on US MOAB attack in Achin, Dr. Abdullah said such remarks would further fuel insurgency and would not help the war on terror.
Meanwhile Dr. Abdullah thanked the sacrifices and bravery of the Afghan security forces, emphasizing for solving of their problems. He also pointed to government’s plan on fighting corruption and bringing necessary reforms in government institutions.
Pointing to Moscow conference on Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah thanked regional support for restoration of peace in the country, adding the process should be of Afghan owned and Afghan-led peace process.
The council of ministers’ session followed with reports on security situation of the country by MoD and MoI officials, price of the land and its expropriation for building of Bamyan Air Force, activities of the fiscal year of 1395 and plans for the year 1396 by the central statistics department and the report of Ministry of Finance on implementation of CBR program during the year 1395.
Hearing the reports, Dr. Abdullah instructed Ministry of Interior to spare no effort in providing security for Salma Dam in Herat Province. He also pointed to problems of the CBR program, saying a separate session should be held to discuss the problems and challenges existed before the program.
