Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in his separate meetings with Prof. Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf, High Peace Council Chairman, Pir Said Ahmad Gilani and ex-president Hamid Karzai, congratulated Eid to them, his office said in a statement.
In his meeting took place at the house of Pro. Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayyaf, the president accompanied by national security advisor, Hanif Atmar and NDS Chief Massoum Stanekzai, while congratulating Eid to him discussed some issues related to the ongoing conditions. During his meeting with Hamid Karzai, the president discussed different key issues and hoped a lasting peace restored in the country, the statement said. According to the statement, the president in his meeting with the HPC chairman, also talked on some related issues and thanked him of his led team’s efforts for carrying on the peace process with the Hezb-e-Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. The president lauded Gilani as a Jehadi leader, whose efforts would never be empty of positive impact on the ongoing peace process, the statement quoted.
