Kabul (BNA) As many as 13 Taliban fighters were killed and five more were wounded during clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province the night before last.
Ministry of Interior in a statement reported, the conflicts took place while a group of Taliban militants stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in relevant areas of Nawa district of the province.
Also, in a similar incident in Kajaki district of Helmand province, four rebels were killed and five others were wounded.
Meanwhile, five members of Taliban group including Mullah Hashmatullah a key commander of the group were injured following conflicts with Afghan security troops in Garzewan district, Faryab province.
On the other hand, a terrorist was killed and another was injured while they wanted to plant a mine in Baiabang region, Maiwand district of Kandahar province.
