Judiciary Force Essential Element For Political, Social And Economic Stability,” President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani attended the last day of a seminar organized by Supreme Court in Kabul the other day, his office said in a statement.
According to the statement, speaking at the seminar, President Ghani said the Constitution had a clear and separate definition of the three pillars of state — judiciary, executive and legislature.
The president added that the judiciary was a permanent branch of the system, because it played a constructive role in the country’s political, social and economic stability, the statement added.
Justice and judiciary enabled individuals and organizations to find solution to their legal issues, otherwise a collective instability would occur, he remarked. The president said it had always been and would be mandatory to have impartial courts for political stability, adding that a weak rule of law coerced people to approach tribe, ethnicity and other sources in search of solution to their problems.
“This creates parallel set ups and leads to instability and the culture of injustice. In contrast, if the judiciary is strong, it keeps the society united and stable,” the president said. The president said traders were reluctant to make investment, because they feared they would be unable to get addressed their legal issues. In the ceremony, Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, chief justice and head of supreme court, deputy to US ambassador in Afghanistan also spoke and brifed about judiciary system and achievements. In addition to President Ghani, the ceremony was also attended by Second Vice President, Sarwar Danesh, Chief Justice, Sayed Yousuf Halim, Attorney General, Farid Hamidi, Head of Afghanistan’s Ulama Council, Mowlavi Qiamuddin Kashaf and a number of cabinet and National Assembly members, the statement further said.
