FM Meets Chinese Ambassador To Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Salahuddin Rabbani, minister of foreign affairs met yesterday with Chinese ambassador to Kabul Deng Xijun here at his office. In the meeting, both sides considered relations between the two countries as good and friendly and insisted on further expansion of the relations. Minister of foreign affairs pointed to the interest of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for complete membership in Shanghai cooperation organization and talked to the Chinese ambassador to Kabul related to the issue. Rabbani also briefed in connection with peace process and efforts of Afghanistan government in this regard, asking China for continued cooperation in this regard. Following, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul while briefing about the recent visit of the country’s president to Pakistan and also Asia Infrastructural Investment Bank asserted he had shared suggested dates of Afghanistan foreign affairs minister for visiting to China with his country’s officials, adding that the date of visiting to China would be clarified in consultation with Afghanistan side. In connection with complete membership of Afghanistan in Shanghai cooperation organization, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul asserted that Afghanistan suggestion would be shared with his country’s officials, hoping that the Chinese officials would support Afghanistan in this regard. At the end, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul while praising Afghanistan for its efforts towards peace and reconciliation process in the country assured of his country’s efforts in cooperation with Pakistan for supporting Afghanistan efforts.
