Maimana City (BNA) At least 9 armed Taliban were killed and eight others were seriously injured following air operation led by Afghan Air forces in northern Faryab province.
Col. Farid Ahmad Bawari in-charge of 209 Shaeen press office told BNA, a group of Taliban that gathered in northwest of Faryab province wanted to launch attack on security checkpoints of Ghormach district, targeted by air operation.
Bawari added, a round of 82 mm mortar, a vehicle and eight motorcycles have been destroyed during the operations.
