Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Committee (NPC) held meeting on Monday during which 20 projects worth 2.3bln Afghani were approved, the president press office said in a statement.
The meeting also approved the extension request for construction project of 28.61km of Tang-e-Cheshma to Pul-e-Tajik road of Sholgara district, Balkh province and extension of the project to build water power generation machine in Nouristan province.
The meeting tasked the ministry of public works and Da Afghanistan Breshna Co to seriously oversee completion of the projects. Besides the meeting retuned the contracts on construction of cancer treatment center of Ali Abad Hospital and administrative building of Ariana for further review, the statement further said.
Stressing on bolstering transparency and accountability culture, the NPC tasked the procurement administration to seriously pay head on implementation of the projects in less-developed provinces, the statement added.
The session was attended by NPC members, SIGAR, SISTIKA and RS observers as well as some other related offices’ representatives, the statement concluded.
