Police Committed To Fight Corruption

Kabul (BNA) Noorulhaq Ulomi, Minister of Interior in a meeting yesterday with European Union Police’s chairman stressed on struggling of police against corruption in the country.
According to Interior Ministry press office to BNA, in the meeting Minister of Interior considered EUPOL cooperation with Afghan police as valuable. Following, EUPOL chairman said that besides providing training programs to Afghan police, the organization would also pay consideration to all sections of capacity building of police. According to another report, Minister of Interior met with chairman of IOM yesterday. In the meeting, Minister of Interior while pointing out to distribution of electronic IDs said the process would put positive impacts in security of the country. In return, IOM chairman briefed related to the process and said the organization by having sound and fair leadership was ready to cooperate with MoI in connection with beginning of the process. According to another report, Minister of Interior in a joint session of the Ministry’s leading directors and generals considered equal implementation of law, impartiality of police, counter corruption, defending the country’s borders, improvement of security and working closely with people as priorities of his program. He asserted that new leadership of the Ministry would honestly and with cooperation of the people implement such priorities.
