Kabul (BNA) Salahuddin Rabbani minister of foreign affairs during his visit in New York met Michael D Higgins President of Ireland.
According to information of foreign ministry’s spokesman office to BNA, Mr. Higgins congratulated membership of Afghanistan in Human Right Council to Mr. Rabbani and expressed that it is a big achievement for Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Both sides were discussed in the fields of security situation, peace process in Afghanistan, human rights and cooperation among Afghanistan and Ireland in UN.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Rabbani mentioned considerable the recent developments in Afghanistan and emphasized bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Ireland in different arenas.
