MoIC Condemns Killing of Two Journalists

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Information and Culture condemns and offering condolences over the killing of the two journalists by Taliban in Helmand province, BNA reported.
Afghan reporter Zabihullah Tamana and David Gilkey, US reporter for NPR were killed when a Taliban rocket hit their vehicle on way to Marjah district of Helmand province here the other day. Besides condemning killing of the two journalists, the Ministry of Information and Culture emphasizes that reporters have impartial duty of delivering information to the people and do not have any links with political parties.
According to BNA, the Ministry of Information and culture seeks end to violence and killing of the journalists across the country and asks the security organs to recognize and prosecute the perpetrators of the incident.
