Communication Problems Reviewed

Kabul (BNA) The minister for communication and information technology, Amrizai Sangin in a conference attended by head of communication departments in provinces said that the ministry for communication on a plan to change the television analog system to digital one.
Aimed at reviewing the achievements of the ministry over the past one year, minister Sangin said that Afghanistan has made tremendous achievements in the communication field over the past 10 years.
He also said that mobile and internet has been rapidly developed in the country and covering 90 percent of the country’s population.
The electronic national identity card will be issued and with introducing digital system to television, 35 television channels will be turned into digital at a cost of some 200 million US dollars.
The lawmaker Nasima Niazi also spoke at the conference which concludes on Monday.
