Herat City (BNA) At least 16 acres of poppy cultivations have been cleared by relevant security forces during several operations in western Herat province.
Jelani Farhad spokesman of Herat governor told BNA correspondent, the poppy cultivations have been destroyed in various parts of Anjeel district of the province.
Poppy cultivations exist in few areas of Herat province, which will be annihilated by relevant security forces, Farhad added.
Meanwhile, Herat’s local officials warn to farmers of the province to evade from poppy cultivations, otherwise they will be introduce to judicial organs for further punishment.
