KANDAHAR-FARAH (BNA) Security officers destroyed several acres of poppy farms in Kandahar and Farah provinces, officials said Monday.
According to local officials, 10 acres of poppy farms have been eradicated in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province. Officials say that more poppy farms spanning 122 acres of land have been eradicated since the launch of counter-narcotics campaign in the province.
Elsewhere, deputy governor of Balabolok district of Farah province told Bakhtar News Agency that the counter-narcotic department officials destroyed 6 acres of poppy farms in the province.
