Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Security Forces ANSF conducting clearing operation in Nangarhar province killed 148 rebels and wounded 110 others.
The operation was conducted 20 days ago in Hesarak, Shirzad and Khogyani districts for eliminating of armed rebels.
Gen. Mohammad Zaman Waziri, Sillab national army commander in the east of the country told BNA, so far 148 domestic and foreign rebels were killed and 110 others including several Taliban and Daesh commanders wounded in the operation
He added 28 people arrested in connection of cooperation with armed rebels.
Waziri says that ANSF cleaned dozens of villages from being of armed militants and also seized several weapons in the operation.
Gen. added that the operation is continuing until the complete cleaning of the area from existing of armed militants.
