49 Welfare Projects Implemented in Sar-e-Pul Province

Kabul (BNA) At a cost of AFN 60,940,000 funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) 49 public utility projects were executed in northern Sar-e-Pul province.
According to information of publication and relation department of MRRD to BNA, these projects have been completed in various districts and Sar-e-Pul city the provincial capital of the province.
The development projects encompassed the construction of school buildings, protection wall, retaining walls, agricultural water canal, water supply network, micro hydro power stations, culverts, bridges, excavation of drinking wells with hand pump and graveling rural roads.
Numerous families in various communities had an opportunity to gain access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Sar-e-Pul province, the NSP has been able to execute 2044 development projects in 612 villages in different sectors throughout the province.
