Kabul (BNA) The first vice president Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim in meeting with Swedish foreign minister Karl Baldat said that Afghanistan wants to reach self-reliance in all fields, BNA reported.
He also noted that Afghan government is ready to encounter and overcome all challenges after 2014 and maintain the country’s security independently.
The vice president also noted that the elections will be held as per schedule next year.
The Swedish top diplomat in the meeting assured his country’s support to Afghanistan and called for free and fair elections and safeguarding the progress had been made over the past decade in Afghanistan.
