Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani conferred Ghazi Mir Bacha Khan state medal on Deputy Commander Resolute Support Lt. Gen. Rosario Castellano in a farewell ceremony held yesterday at presidential palace.
In the ceremony, first decree of the country’s President was read out by advisor to President on cultural affairs Asadullah Ghazanfer.
The decree says that President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has approved conferring the medal on Lt. Gen. Rosario Castellano to honor his services and efforts he has made during his mission in Afghanistan towards capacity building, funding and equipping of Afghanistan defense and security forces.
After receiving the medal, Lt. Gen. Rosario Castellano, Deputy Commander Resolute Support in Afghanistan expressed happiness over his mission in Afghanistan, saying that respect and dignity of the people of Afghanistan and remembrances he had from Afghanistan would not be forgotten.
