Kabul (BNA) As many as 19 armed oppositions including their leader were killed and 11 others were injured following mopping-up operations led by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of interior press office stated BNA, the operations were conducted by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress armed oppositions and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Zabul, Urozgan, Farah, Faryab, Nimroz, Badghis and Helmand provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and war equipment belonging the terrorists have been seized during the operations by Afghan security forces, the source added.
