5 Monuments Renovated In Ghazni

Kabul (BNA) The five monuments which includes the shrine of Sayed Ahmad Maki, Turk Hazrat, Sayed Jalal Agha, Sayed Shah Agha and Baba Ali had been renovated at a cost of 10 million Afghanis, the minister for information and culture Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen said yesterday.
He also added that the efforts to renovate the monuments are parts of preparation to celebrate Ghazni as cultural capital of Islamic countries in 2013.
Under a program, the ministry for information and culture would repair 31 historic monuments in Ghazni.
During his visit to Ghazni and meeting Ghazni governor Musa Khan Akbarzada and head of provincial council, the minister for information and culture exchanged views on preparation of Ghazni city to celebrate the event in the current year.
Dr. Raheen during his visit also inaugurated the new building of the cultural department.
In talks with journalists, the minister also called on Taliban share the festival of celebrating Ghazni as cultural capital of Islamic countries in 2013.
