President Ghani Meets Different Countries’ Ambassadors, Representatives, UK And US Officials Separately

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with ambassadors and representatives from different countries and discussed some key issues, including holding of Kabul Process, his office said Friday.
The president thanked the ambassadors and representatives of various world countries for their condolences and continued commitment with Afghanistan and said that time has now reached to identify that those rebels not bent to peace, should be fought through a national, regional and international consensus.
“Those groups who are not ready to give up arm, commit crime against human and are not ready to accept peace process should be behaved seriously,” said the statement.
Pointing to the Kabul process, the president said he hoped could achieve good results from the upcoming Kabul Process, which hoped to lead to the improvement of the situation. The ambassadors and representatives of some world countries, while expressing deep condolence over the recent deadly incidents thanked the president for his brave and firm commitment to peace and stability of the country.
They also announced their severe plan to fighting those insurgents don’t believe in peace as well as expressed support to an Afghan-lead peace process and the upcoming Kabul Process hoped to yield good results. The country’s president also met with the UK special envoy for Afghanistan, Gareth Bailey who reaffirmed his country’s cooperation with the insecurity ravaged nation.
Both sides discussed bilateral cooperation, joint combat against terrorism, reforms and cooperation in different fields, particularly in infrastructure projects and expansion of trade and economic relations.
In a meeting, also attended by Dr. Abdullah, few days ago, the US deputy secretary of state and President Ghani also spoke about reforms, economic development, good governance, combat against regional terrorism and preparation for holding parliamentary and presidential elections, another statement from the presidential Palace said.
