Kabul (BNA) Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance has participated in IMF and World Bank’s annual meeting held in US.
In the sideline of the meeting, minister of finance has separately met with British secretary of world development, US secretary of finance and acting deputy of World Bank.
In meeting with British secretary of world development, post-agenda of the Brussels conference was discussed.
The British permanent secretary of world development while congratulating successfully holding the Brussels conference assured of Britain’s continued and long-term assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan.
In meeting with US secretary of finance, reforms in economic field particularly in IFM program, US financial and technical aids to Afghanistan ministry of finance and financial sector were discussed.
Acting deputy governor of the World Bank while congratulating successfully holding the Brussels conference pledged that the World Bank would closely work with Afghanistan in economic reforms, adding that the World Bank and Afghanistan government would help each other in implementation of peace and national development framework in consideration to World Bank strategy.
