Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, met with Rory Stewart, Head of Defense Committee of UK parliament the other day at the Presidential Palace. During the meeting, both sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations in various aspects between the two countries.
Rory Stewart commended President Ghani’s remarks in 51st round of Munich Security Conference and said that the statement had covered the problems faced by Afghanistan, the region and the world.
President Ghani expressed his gratitude for UK’s cooperation and assistance in different fields over the last 13 years.
At the end of the meeting, Head of Defense Committee of UK parliament presented the letter and the gift of Prince Charles to President Ghani.
