President Ghani Praises Police Personnel Bravery

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan praised Kunduz police personnel for their bravery in repressing terrorist attack on the province’s provincial police headquarters.
President Ghani telephoned Kunduz governor, police chief and a number of police personnel in this regard. In the telephone conversations, the country’s president while addressing to personnel of Kunduz police headquarters said, “You are Afghanistan’s real protectors who are both maintaining civil order in the society and defending their country – I appreciate you for bravery and courage and wish you further successes in protecting the country”.
President Ghani also offered his deep condolence and sympathy to family of a police officer martyred in the terrorist attack on Kunduz police headquarters. The country’s president instructed the Kunduz governor and police chief to make use of all means for treatment of those injured in the terrorist attack and in case of impossibility of the injured treatment in Kunduz, they should be dispatched to Kabul for further treatment. Taliban militants have claimed responsibility of the attack.
