FARAH CITY (BNA) Two local reporters were among the victims of mine blast was happened in Kandahar-Herat highway yesterday.
Najibullah Ibrahimi and Enayatullah Fakrat the two local reporters were among the passengers that their vehicle hit with a roadside mine in Shaws region, Kandahar-Herat highway yesterday morning.
According to BNA report, Ibrahimi and Fakrat since four years were involved on media activities in southern Herat province.
At least 34 commuters including women and children and two local reporters lost their lives and 17 others were wounded following the incident.
No individual or group has commented regarding the mine planting so far, but local officials claimed that Taliban fighters are responsible for the mine planting.
Taliban militants by planting bombs and mines causing casualties on civilians in some parts of the country.
