Kabul (BNA) Freedom star and constitutional is the title of a book unveiled during a special seminar marking the 30th death anniversary of famous academician and poet Abdul Hadi Dawi. The 230 pages book is consisting of several articles, statements of the president, cultural and national personalities, government institutions and fans of well-known intellectual and poet Abdul Hadi Dawi. Materials for the book have been collected by day night efforts of Dawi’s family mainly Rafiullah Niazi and it ratifies Dawi’s historic contributions and endeavors.
In the book, special focus has been paid on Dawi’s uprisings and his contributions. In a recent statement, Hamid Karzai President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dawi as one of the historic dignitaries of the history of Afghanistan and declared him as one of the co-founder of constitutional movement in the country including the intellectual and political efforts of Mahmoud Tarzi who had also contributed historic struggles in the political and cultural scenario of Afghanistan during their lifetime. In part of the book, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Syeed Makhdoom Raheen has announced Dawi as one of the greatest fighter of freedom and constitutional movement.
Dawi was that intellectual who smartly fashioned the classic history of Afghanistan during the 20th century. In our region role of religious scholars for freedom and constitutionalism have been feeble, but during the 20th century, Maulavi Abdurrauf Khaki, Tarzi and Dawi joined hands and strived to awaken the society and convey a great message from Islam and mobilize the freedom convoy against the suppressions and authoritarians. Minister of Information and Culture has declared Dawi as one of the great teachers of constitutional movement and freedom. Dawi and his companions rendered sacrifices of their lives and properties. Despite dozens of challenges, pressures, suppressions and barrier they accomplished their tasks honestly in order to achieve trust of the people. In the book, statements on Dawi’s life and political contributions have been published from various academic institutions of the country that is comprised of Kabul University, Balkh University, writer, poets, cultural dignitaries and historians.
In message conveyed on occasion of public of the book, Afghanistan Science Academy has thanked the Ministry of Information and Culture for organizing the research seminar on Dawi’s life and political background and has said that such programs in fact is a tribute to cultural profiles of Afghanistan and should be continued to awaken the new generation from the political and intellectuals background of for famous personalities.
